Karin Pieper - Psychotherapist & Child/Adolescent Therapist

Karin sees children & adolescents ages 6 and up and adults ages of 18 to 35

Meet Karin. She earned her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University. She is registered with the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She completed her practicum working on an inpatient psychiatric unit working primarily with adolescents but also with adults and young children. She has also worked as an in-home Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), specifically working with kids with Autism.

As a compassionate and dedicated therapist she welcomes the opportunity to help those struggling to navigate life's challenges and achieve their goals.

Karin's nurturing and empathetic nature allows her to build strong and trusting relationships with her clients, fostering an environment where they can feel safe and understood. She has a unique ability to engage and connect with school age children in purposeful activities to aid their development and reach their therapeutic objectives. Using play therapy, Karin skillfully guides her young clients to perceive their struggles from different perspectives, facilitating growth and resilience that extend beyond the therapy sessions.

When working with adolescents and young adults (up to age 35), Karin continues to demonstrate her empathetic and non-judgmental approach. She actively prioritizes creating a space where her clients feel genuinely heard and understood. Encouraging them to share their stories, fears, and aspirations, Karin collaborates with her clients to instigate lasting, positive changes and personal growth in their lives.

Karin's passion for helping others, coupled with her warm and supportive demeanor, makes her an exceptional therapist. With her guidance and expertise, she empowers her clients to overcome obstacles, build essential skills, and ultimately achieve their fullest potential. In her presence, clients find solace and encouragement, knowing that they have an ally in their journey towards a more fulfilling and enriched life.
