What is an ADHD disability?

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is a mental health illness that can cause abnormal levels of hyperactive and impulsive behaviours. Both children and adults can have ADHD.

Types of ADHD

People with the inattentive type of ADHD are often:

2. Predominantly Hyperactive-impulsive ADHD

People who are impulsive or hyperactive often

3. Combined ADHD

Here, a combination of symptoms from both the inattentive type and hyperactive-impulsive type symptoms are exhibited. This type is the most common as six or more symptoms are present.
